Press meeting, Tuesday April 15th

The activities of Sfax Chamber of Commerce and Industry for 2025 and the ongoing preparations for the 18th edition of the Mediterranean Building Exhibition “MEDIBAT 2025”, which will be held from 21 to 24 May 2025 in Sfax, were the focal point of a press meeting hosted by the Chamber at its headquarters today, Tuesday April 15th, and attended by a number of its executives, partners and media representatives in the region.
2025 has unfolded full of prime events for Sfax Chamber of Commerce and Industry, chiefly the Mediterranean Building Exhibition, which constitutes an unequaled opportunity to open up to the African, Maghreb and Mediterranean environment and to promote partnership prospects between Tunisian companies operating in the field of construction, building and adjacent services and their counterparts from Libya, Algeria and several African countries, according to Chamber President Mr. Habib Hammami.
The president of the Chamber signaled out on this occasion that “the current international economic condition makes it indispensable to promote partnerships with brothers and neighbors,”. He highly valued the importance of the Tunisian-Libyan-Algerian Economic Forum, which will be scheduled for the first time in the exhibition, as well as the distinguished international attendance.
This new edition of the MEDIBAT exhibition, whose general program and parallel economic and scientific events were put on show by the General manager of the Chamber of Commerce Mr. Hichem Elloumi, is marked by the confirmed participation of no less than 15 countries among which 8 as exhibitors so far: Algeria, Libya, Egypt, Germany, Italy, Poland, Malaysia and China.
A number of official delegations composed of high-level officials, representatives of professional organisms, Chambers of commerce as well as companies from several countries such as Cameroon, Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa, Italy, Democratic Republic of Congo, Congo Brazzaville, Mali, Libya and Algeria have confirmed their participation.
Remarkably enough within this distinguished international participation, the Libyan pavilion will extend over an area of 350 square meters and host 17 exhibitors and professional and official delegations from Tripoli, Misourata and Benghazi while the Algerian pavilion will cover an area of approximately 200 square meters. Besides, the exhibition will be attended by representatives of renowned international professional organisms such as the Association of the Mediterranean Chambers of Commerce and Industry ASCAME which reunites 300 Chambers from Mediterranean countries, CPCCAF and AFRICA Link, a network of business organisms.
In addition to the MEDIBAT exhibition, the Chamber’s 2025 program includes a series of interesting activities, programs and projects such as leading a number of business missions at international economic events, promoting Tunisian products such as olive oil, boosting exports, training business owners and managers in various professional fields, signing partnership agreements and holding awareness seminars on economic issues linked to the life of the company and its development mechanisms.
